Bridging Access to Care

Bridging Access to Care (formerly Brooklyn AIDS Task Force) is Brooklyn's oldest nonprofit prevention, treatment, and health service organization, providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS, mental health and substance abuse related services to underserved racial and ethnic minority communities in the borough.

Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy & New

The Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy offers both short and long-term treatment options. Their services include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and substance abuse counseling. They also have New Directions, an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program.

The Center for Integrative Behavioral Medicine

Community Counseling and Meditation

Community Counseling and Meditation (CCM) works to improve the lives of at-risk children and families through innovative behavioral health, supportive housing, education, and youth services. Their expanding network of licensed outpatient mental health and chemical dependence clinics, award-winning housing facilities, HIV and hepatitis prevention and care coordination, and after-school and child-welfare programs, utilize evidence-based, culturally competent practices to achieve positive outcomes and keep families together.

Comprehensive Counseling LCSWs

Provides psychotherapy services for children, adults, families, and couples, specializing in areas such as mod disorders, substance use, marital difficulties, and behavioral issues.
Note: This is a private practice setting that accepts most insurances but not Medicaid or Medicare; a co-pay should be expected.

HOUSING WORKS COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE

Housing Works Community Healthcare fosters good health and positive social change through empowerment, innovation, and collaboration. They provide high-quality integrated medical care and other essentials that improve individual and overall community well-being. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), they are able to provide more affordable care to underserved populations. Their clinical services include primary care, wellness & prevention, behavioral health & substance use, dental care, youth and prevention services, AIDS adult day community healthcare, and case management.

Realization center

Realization Center is a comprehensive outpatient addictions treatment center, with an LGBT program dedicated to recovery and sobriety for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. This program provides services specializing in compulsive sexual behaviors, sexuality issues, HIV/AIDS issues, couples conflict resolution, and more.

Services for the Underserved

Services for the UnderServed (SUS) offers continuum of care to those recovering from substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, trauma, etc. Outpatient and residential programs provide domestic violence treatment, HIV/AIDS services, primary healthcare, alternative criminal justice rehabilitation, vocational training and placement, mental health treatment, and supportive permanent housing services.
